When I’m not working:

Archery

I shoot olympic recurve, with a 26-pound draw weight. I also shoot compound. Archery gives me a great sense of focus and stability. I have received certification in archery from the Archery Club at Queen’s University Belfast, and served as Co-Head of the Archery Club at Phillips Exeter Academy.

Fermentation

I enjoy brewing non-alcoholic fermented drinks such as 식혜 (sikhye, from rice) and квас (kvass, from rye bread). I’d like to expand my practice to fermented foods such as kimchi and yogurt. Thinking about microorganisms and gut bacteria is really fun to me, and only a little bit disconcerting.

Gardening

Gardening allows one to connect with the land and practice care, all while appreciating growth and nature’s restorative capacity to heal. My favourite crops include green onions, tomatoes, perilla, lettuce, jalapeño peppers, and marigolds. I am interested in expanding my gardening, and am actively exploring the potential of sunflower microgreens, hydroponics, and native plants that can restore natural biodiversity. I also believe strongly in regrowing produce, and oppose efforts by corporations to genetically modify produce to be incapable of regeneration. I am currently participating in a number of community garden projects.

Hiking

I adore hiking, especially in mountainous regions. It does wonders for your mind to take in the vast expanses of nature.

Overwatch (2)

I casually main D.Va, Sigma, Venture, Mei, and Mercy in Overwatch - my rankings hover around the gold range, and my preferred role is Tank.

Rock Climbing

I love rock climbing! I am most experienced with indoor, but I’m always down for some outdoor climbing, too.

Skiing

I’ve been skiing since the first grade, and have continued to enjoy it - there’s snow stopping me!
